Jaime Joins!

Canadian international midfielder Jaime Peters has finally arrived at Portman Road and put pen to paper on his contract.

Peters signed a pre-contract agreement with Town early this year but was turned down for a work permit which delayed his signing but Town won an appeal last week which granted Jaime a work permit and he has today signed.

 

Jaime’s signing is a good coup by Town who had to fight of interest from: Chelsea, Manchester United, Derby County and Millwall to get the 18-year-olds signature.

 

Town boss Joe Royle: “Jaime is with us now and it's the end of a long affair, he has played some football through the summer with Canada but we will have to look at his fitness levels before deciding on the way forward for him.”

 

Peters will wear the number 12 shirt and won’t be involved in Towns friendly against Colchester.
