Ipswich Town assistant manager Willie Donachie has praised the performances of Lewis Price and trialist Castro Sito after Town’s defeat against Atletico Madrid.

Castro played the opening 45 minutes and did his chances of a contract at Town no harm at all, with Willie saying: “The lad did well and we would like to see more of him, he's a good lad, a good professional and did well but he had taken a knock or two and was also a week behind the other players in terms of fitness. That's why we took him off at the break.

 

“I'm not sure if he will be involved against Colchester. There is a lot to sort out but he certainly did well and like I say, I think we would like another look at him.”

 

Lewis Price proved he was capable of filling Kelvin Davis’ gloves with a number of fine saves during the 90 minutes, Willie added: “He made some excellent saves and we are very pleased with him. Now I hope he pushes on from here.

 

“We were up against a talented side with million pound strikers and knew it would be a tough match for us but we were always in the game and there was plenty to take out of the 90 minutes.”
