After weeks of speculation Tommy Miller has decided his future will be at Sunderland’s stadium of light, not Ipswich Town’s Portman Road.

Miller Joins Sunderland

Tommy turned down the two year contract offered to him by Town and instead signed a two year contract with the black cats.

Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy has said: “Tommy was one of the top players in the Championship last year, scoring 15 goals from midfield, he has been chased by a number of clubs, but we have got him and we are delighted.

“He is a local lad and the prospect of playing for his home-town club has clearly been the decider for him.”
