Ipswich Town have extended the loan of Monaco midfielder Jimmy Juan until the end of the 2005/2006 season.

The 21-year-old who has yet to make a first team debut has been included in Town’s squad for the play-off games against West Ham.

Town manager Joe Royle is delighted to have secured Jimmy for next season, saying: “I am delighted that Jimmy will be back with us next season and he is very much in my plans for our remaining games this month.

“I am not saying he will start, but if he is on the bench and I send him on I know he won't let us down.

“I know what Jimmy can do and he has got better and better in recent weeks as his fitness has improved with games.

“He hadn't played a lot of football when he first arrived from Monaco and then he was injured. The only thing holding him back was his fitness.”

Youngster Dean McDonald has been given a one year contract.
