Spurs came close to levelling the scores soon after when Dawkins sent his shot wide before Trotter nearly added a 2nd Simon Dawkins fired just wide soon after for Spurs,
Trotter almost added to the scoreline again just before half time after some good work by Billy Clarke and Owen Garvan.
Spurs were unlucky not to of had a goal on the hour after Liam Craig had cleared Lee Mills’ effort off the goal line.
Lordan and Trotter both sent efforts the wrong side of the bar after being set up by Billy Clarke, It was Clarke him self who scored Town’s 2nd goal of the evening after 75 minutes, sending his left footed effort past Spurs ’keeper Forecast and into the back of the net.
