Willie: It’s Been A Good Year

Ipswich Town assistant manager Willie Donachie believes what ever happens to Town this season it will have been good.

Town topped the table for nearly two months from December to February with a five point cushion but have now slipped to third 6 points behind league leaders Sunderland but despite that Willie believes this has been a great season.

Donachie: “We would have taken the position we are in now if it had been offered to us at the start of the season.

“But having got to where we are, we are determined to push on now and finish in the top two.

“Whatever happens though, I think the players have been terrific this season and it's been a great year.

“We know there are seven games to play and everyone of them is vital but we have to keep believing and if we do that, we have a great chance of making that top two finish.”
