Ipswich Town assistant manager Willie Donachie has no arguments about the result in Town’s game against Gillingham earlier today.

Willie: “We were disappointing against Gillingham and our best players were Jason and Bam Bam at the back and Kelvin, who was outstanding, he made a couple of terrific saves for us but then he has been very consistent all season.

“We didn't create much at the other end and that was very disappointing and we can't have any complaints over just taking the point.

“I don't want to make excuses but the pitch and conditions were not helpful to our style of passing the ball around and the system we started with didn't really work so we changed it at half-time.

“We weren't getting enough players to support Shefki and Darren Bent up front so the chances were few and far between for us.

“But there are seven games to go, seven cup finals and the players are determined to give it a real go for promotion in that time.

“In this league any team can beat any other so we knew that Wigan, Sunderland and ourselves are going to drop points between now and the end of the season but if we win our home matches, then that will set us up to really push on.”
