Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has praised Town left back Matt Richard for the way he performed against Wigan last Saturday.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has praised Town left back Matt Richard for the way he performed against Wigan last Saturday.
The 20-year-old made only his second senior start of 2005 against the Latics and Royle has praised how he played.
Royle: “Matt did very well and was arguably as good as any player on the day.
I was very pleased for him.
“He came to see me last week about what he
had to improve and we had a good chat about his situation. He's a good lad with
a terrific attitude and there's no doubt he wants to do it for this
club.
“I put him in against Wigan because he had done well against their
right-winger, Gary Teale, at our place. That earned him the nod ahead of Daniel
Karbassiyoon and he again did well against Teale at the weekend.”
