Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent is upbeat despite a poor showing by his usual standards against Watford on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old front had enough chances to score a hat-trick of goals and more against Watford on Tuesday night but failed to convert a single one but despite that Bent is upbeat about his confidence.

Bent: “I'm a positive person and it'll take more than that to get me down and affect my confidence.

“I'd be worried if I wasn't getting in the right positions to get chances, but I know that if I keep doing what I'm doing the goals will come.

“It was a really frustrating night - we had eight or nine decent chances and I could easily have scored a hat-trick.

“But I sensed it was one of those nights, especially when I had a shot which came down off the bar. Then I knew my luck was out.”
