Royle: That’s Your Lot
Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says he wont be will not be brining in any more new faces into Portman Road this season.
While no more players are expected to come in unless it is absolutely necessary Joe is also pleased that none of the clubs youngsters have left Portman Road.
“I was always confident that we would not be losing anyone that we didn't
want to. We made it pretty clear that we weren't selling and that put clubs
off.
“Money is still tight and it wasn't just us. Clubs didn't go in for
any of the players at Wigan and Sunderland either.”
“That is us now. Unless we come up against some sort of emergency I can't see
us bring in any more players.”
Town have signed two players on loan this month, midfielder Jimmy Juan from Monaco and defender David Unsworth from Portsmouth while Jaime Peters has agreed to sign for Town when he turns 18 in may.
Royle was most pleased to of landed David Unsworth on-loan from Portsmouth until the end of the season and added: “Getting David Unsworth in was very pleasing for me. He has played with four Premiership clubs and is vastly experienced. He can also play as a centre-back where he was capped for England.”
