Nash Nearly Back
Ipswich Town defender Gerard Nash is about a month away from a return after more than a year out though injury.
The 18-year-old defender had just started training again after a long lay off after a second cruciate ligament break before damaging cartilage in his knee which was operated on over Christmas.
Nash: “Everything is going really well and I should be back playing in three weeks.
“It was only a minor operation and the specialist said I would be out for six weeks. I've had half of that and there are no problems.
“I've been back running, my fitness is fine and the knee is very good so I'm looking forward to getting back playing again and should be in action next month.
“Hopefully I can get a few games under my belt for the Academy team and then move up to the reserves.
“I'm not setting myself any more targets than that at the moment. I just want to be back playing football, that's all.”
