Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has hailed Town as “the comeback kings” after coming from 2-1 down to beat QPR 4-2 today.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has hailed Town as “the comeback kings” after coming from 2-1 down to beat QPR 4-2 today.

Royle: “We are the comeback kings, that's the way we seem to do things here, they are a great set of lads and there is a terrific spirit in the squad and that shows.

“We score a lot of goals but we miss a lot as well and if we had taken our chances, we would have been out of sight at half-time instead of being behind.

“But we stepped up the pace after the break and finished worthy winners in the end I think.”

Joe singled out new signing Darren Currie for special praise after the 30 year old midfielder set up one goal and scored another just 15 minutes into his debut, Royle added: “He made a great impact but it didn't surprise me, he put in a great ball for the equaliser and it was a good strike for his goal. But he is comfortable on the ball, hits great deliveries and fits easily into our style.”
