Ipswich Town kept up the pressure on league leaders Wigan by comeing from 2-1 behind and beating Queens Park Rangers 4-2 earlier today.

Ipswich Town kept up the pressure on league leaders Wigan by comeing from 2-1 behind and beating Queens Park Rangers 4-2 earlier today.

Jason De Vos gave Town the lead after 25 minutes only for Paul Furlong to score twice inside five minutes to give the home side a 2-1 advantage going into half time.

Town full back Drissa Diallo was replaced by Matt Richards at half time for the second week running and ten minutes into the half Darren Currie made his Town debut replacing Kevin Horlock, who had been booked for a foul on Gareth Ainsworth minutes earlier.

Darren Bent bought Town level putting Shefki Kuqi’s downward header into the top right hand corner of the goal with the help of a George Santos deflection on 58 minutes.

Darren Currie marked his debut with a goal after only being on the pitch 17 minutes, his 25 yard effort clipping Rangers defender Marcus Bignot and sailing just past the out stretched hand of Chris Day in the QPR goal.

Shefki Kuqi made it 4-2 five minutes later volleying home Matt Richards’ flick on.

Town remain one point behind Wigan with the Latics visiting Portman Road a week on Tuesday, Town will be with out Kevin Horlock for the Wigan game as he picked up his 5th yellow card of the season and is suspended.
