Former Ipswich Town club secretary David Rose has become one of a few people to be awarded the UEFA order of Merit.

Former Ipswich Town club secretary David Rose has become one of a few people to be awarded the UEFA order of Merit.

Rose who spent 47 years working at Portman Road received the award at last nights share holders AGM becoming only the fifth person in England to receive the award.

David was both honoured and surprised to receive the award, saying: “I am surprised and honoured to receive such an award, I have had 47 great years at this Club and Ipswich Town is still the best football club in the country for me.”
