Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent wants to play in the premier league but he does not want to take a short cut by moving clubs.

The 20 year old striker has netted five times this season for Town and was the subject of a £3million from premiership Charlton athletic before the transfer window closed in august.

Bent has said: “I am not thinking about the Premiership with any other club.

“It is not even certain that I would have gone to Charlton in any case.

“If I keep playing well and scoring goals I would hope to get there with Ipswich, so what happens in January doesn't really bother me.”
