Cotterill Claims Norris Wants Pompey Move

Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill has claimed that Town midfielder David Norris wants to join the South coast side.

Town reportedly rejected a bid of £250,000 for Norris, who is out of contract at Town in the summer, from Pompey this week and news of the rejected bid seems to confirmed by Cotterill who had this to say after Portsmouth's game against Leeds yesterday.

Cotterill: "It went public, it came out their end. It didn't come from us. I've only had a conversation with the manager and (Portsmouth chief executive) David Lampitt has had a conversation with their chief executive.

"We know how it came out and maybe it was to drum up a bit of interest.

"We know that David Norris wants to join us and hopefully that one can be sorted out, maybe in the next week."
