Town will be looking to end a run of 5 defeats in a row when they take on Preston North End at Deepdale tomorrow afternoon.
Town will be without Gareth McAuley, Connor Wickham and Luke Hyam. Mark Kennedy could feature but it is unlikely while David Norris is back after illness.
Town manager Roy Keane: "Every game is important obviously but we are going into a mad period now and it's a crucial period as well, we have got the games over Christmas and then some big cup games in January and fingers crossed we can get some of our senior players back from injury and then have a clean bill of health for a while.
"We're certainly going to need the squad though over the next few weeks. Players are going to get minutes on the pitch because the games are going to come thick and fast.
"They went to Cardiff last week and were a minute away from getting three points and Darren (Ferguson) would have taken a lot out of that performance, it would have given them a boost and we know we will be in for a very difficult 90 minutes.
"I've been quite happy with our general play though over the last couple of games. We played some good stuff against West Brom and we were okay against Swansea but obviously lost the three goals.
"Individual mistakes cost us in that game. I've no problem with inexperienced players making mistakes. It's going to happen. As long as they learn from it but it's when your experienced players make mistakes and don't learn, that's the concern."
