Luca: I’m Lacking Fitness

Town midfielder Luca Civelli says he has got over his knee injury, but he needs to get fit again before he can push for a place in the Town first team.

Luca played 75 minutes for the Town reserve side last night against Colchester and 45 minutes against Oxford last week after being out of action for nearly a year.

Luca: "My knee feels fine and it was good for me to play longer this time, the most important thing is that the knee is ok and I'm happy with that but I'm not very happy with my personal game. I have to keep going and train hard every day to get better.

"I have to improve a lot with the ball and my fitness but playing games is what I need. That will help me improve all the things I don't have at the moment.

"It's been very frustrating, being out for so long but I'm getting closer now. I want to get back into the first-team but I have to be patient.

"It will be down to what the gaffer says, when he thinks I am ready to play. When he wants me to play, I will be ready because I want to end my long time out of the first-team."
