Wright On Time at Town

Town defender David Wright says the three years he had at Portman Road were fantastic and his thanked Town fans for their support over that time. Wright joined Town from Wigan in January 2007 for £200,000 and has gone onto make over 100 starts for Town scoring 5 goals, but was told last week that he would not be offered a new deal by Town manager Roy Keane.

Wright: "I've had three fantastic years here and some great memories in that time.

"I've enjoyed a good relationship with the fans and been lucky enough to have had their support and I want to thank them for that.

"I came here to help Ipswich get in the Premier League though so there is that sense of disappointment that I have not achieved that.

"I've got to think about the future now though. I'd like to find a club as soon as possible so that I can get my family settled before the new season gets underway."
