Town were denied all three points at home against Doncaster this afternoon by a late penalty. In a game which remarkably resembled an encounter between two sides who were perfectly safe in mid-table with only three games to go until the end of the season, not a lot happened.

All the action came in the final 20 minutes. Connor Wickham making the most of a mix up between James O'Connor and Neil Sullivan to sneak the ball into the net.

Doncaster equalised with 10 minutes to go, Dean Shiels was brought down by Town's Shane O'Connor inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty which Shiels converted.

Ipswich Town: B Murphy; D Wright, McAuley, T Smith, S O'Connor; Walters, Norris (sub Peters 76 mins), Leadbitter, Colback; D Murphy (Garvan 57), Wickham (Clark 89). Substitutes: R Wright, Eastman, Brown, Hyam.

Doncaster Rovers: Sullivan, Chambers, J O'Connor, Martis, Roberts; Emmanuel-Thomas, Oster, Mutch (Shiels 63), Wilson (Hird 88), Hayter; Heffernan (Fairhurst 90). Substitutes: B Smith, Lockwood, McDaid, Dumbuya.

Referee: Mr A Penn (West Midlands)
