A look back on past meeting's and how they are today

Ipswich v Watford Portman Road Tuesday 20th Oct 2009

Wigan first played against us back in 1936 in the FA Cup. Ipswich won 2-1 and it was the 1st round. We where a non-league side and 2 years later we started playing pro and started in 3rd Division.

We played wigan a lot untill 1957 when we then went up to division 2. It then was 26 years untill we meet again 1982 in the League cup and we won again 2-1.

Since then we have played Wigan 60 times we have won 26 lost 19 and drawn 15. We have scored 99 and let in 80 so could be a lot goals Tuesday night.

At Portman Road against Watford we have won 17 lost 6 drawn 8.  We have scored 63 but let in 36. So hopefully we stand a better chance Tuesday night.

Last Season we drew at our ground but lost 2-1 at Wigan though we went 1-0 in 2mins.

We have had a terrible start ourselves not winning at all and rock bottom of the Championship.

Watford are looking for their second away win so will it be another bad game for Ipswich or will it be the dream all of us are wanting?
