Ipswich win at long last but no fans where there

Ipswich won 3-0 earlier today against West Ham. The Reserves played a friendly behind closed doors only ones watching was Keane and West Ham's Boss Gianfranco Zola. The friendly was arranged as the 1st and 2nd team dont have games this week.

Ipswich win at home with no fans there to watch

Conor Wickham, Pablo Couñago and Lee Martin scored the 3 goals in the afternoon friendly at Portman Road.

Also on the Ipswich team where:

Colin Healy, David Wright, Jack Colback and Damien Delaney

Where the stronge Keane's side saw their 1st win just a shame to the many Ipswich fans it was played behind closed doors.

It is reported that it was very much a one sided game where the better team won.

Wickham scored the first goal. Couñago added a  trademark backheel kick to make it two and Martin  ended the run with an overhead kick. final score being 3-0 to the Tractor Boys.

Just a shame its what Ipswich fans have been waiting for but none was there to see their team win.

Good to see Wickham back - think we need him on the bench to add a bit of pace, height and muscle to the front line in the closing stages - and he's still 16!

Pablo scoring too is a good sign.

Maybe RK will sit up, take note and actually change the team - after all West Ham Reserves can't be that bad!

And no goals conceeded!!!!

It was great to see the news. My mum is in Ipswich a few days and was sad she could not see the game.

Hope To RK sits up and take a look at that game and we can start winning

May just be a reserve win but where else will the confidence start - especially for the 3 goalscorers!

Maybe a bit of healthy competition for places is what we need - not 11 scared souls quacking in their boots everytime they see they're in the 1st team!
