Underwood Jailed

Jamie Underwood will go to jail for 8 weeks for stealing memorabilia left by football fans at the statue of Sir Bobby Robson following his death at the end of July. Underwood, 21, from Ipswich admitted the thefts last month when he appeared at Ipswich magistrates court last month.

Although Underwood was drunk at the time of the thefts the jury decided to send him to jail for 8 weeks.

Another man who also stole shirts from the statue has yet to be court.
