Town entertain Preston North End at Portman Road tomorrow afternoon, still searching for that first league win of the season. Town will be missing Town will be missing David Norris, Luciano Civelli and Ben Thatcher while Jaime Peters, Jack Colback and Lee Martin are all doubts. Pablo Counago is likely to start up front, possibly along side Tamas Priskin who he started with against Peterborough in midweek.
Town manager Roy Keane: "Alan Irvine has done a fantastic job at Preston and I'm sure they are in for a successful season, I have had dealings with Alan before with Ross Wallace going there from when I was at Sunderland and he's got them very well organised.
"They look very solid and well prepared and have had a good start to the season. They have a good manager, good staff, good players and I'm sure they will be in the mix at the end.
"It's going to be a hard game for us on Saturday but one that I'm looking forward to."
Preston are expected to be without defender Youl Mawene and Barry Nicholson. Former Town midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski could start against his former side.
Preston Boss Alan Irvine: "I would expect Ipswich to rise up the league in time, they've too many good players not to.
"Roy Keane knows the Championship, he did a great job getting Sunderland promoted, and their current form is probably just a blip as everyone settles down.
"It would be terrific if we could come back from Ipswich still unbeaten, hopefully with a victory. If that happened we will have made a really good start to the season, I couldn't be unhappy if we were unbeaten in seven games.
"But there's a big job to do first, it's going to be a tough game and we'll need to play really well to get something."
