Town are reported to have completed the signing of Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy for a £1.5 million fee.
The 26-year-old striker was on the verge of a move to Town, along with Sunderland team mate Dean Whitehead earlier in the summer before Hull City hijacked the possible move leading it collapse.
Neither club has confirmed the move and Town manager Roy Keane did say earlier in the week that he was done dealing in the transfer market.
Since joining Sunderland in 2005 he has made more then 100 appearances scoring 14 goals, the last of which came in February 2008.
Personally I think Connor Wickham will step up to the mark, so this has-been can stay put at Sunderland. He's already turned us down twice to go to a 'Bigger' club, but been turned away by the so called bigger club.
