Ipswich Town have announced that there will be a book of Remembrance available for football fans to sign from 3pm this afternoon in the Centre Spot restaurant at Portman Road. Sir Bobby passed away this morning at his home with his family by his side, following his fifth battle which cancer.
The book of remembrance will be available between 3pm and 6pm tonight and from 9am-6pm over the weekend, fans are being invited to lay flowers by Sir Bobby's statue on Portman Road.
Town's chief executive Simon Clegg read a short statement on behalf of the club: "This is a very sad day for Ipswich Town Football Club and the world of football in general, Sir Bobby was held in the highest esteem within the local community and in particular by generations of supporters of this Football Club and will be greatly missed by all. On behalf of Ipswich Town, I would like to send our deepest sympathies to Sir Bobby's family."
Town take on Real Valladolid this evening (kick-off at 7.30pm) the game will start with a two minutes silence and the players will wear black armbands.
