He's Back!!

David Wright is out of Town's trip to Sheffield United but Moritz Volz is back in the squad after recovering from groin surgery. Former Wigan defender David limped off with a hamstring injury in the goalless draw with Watford two weeks ago.

"Wrighty has done some training and he's improved but he's not ready yet so we will leave him behind for the Sheffield game," Town boss Jim Magilton told the Club website.

"Moritz has trained this week and has done well and he will come into the squad along with Jaime Peters and Dean Bowditch."

Town are seven points off the Play-Off places while the Blades are making a late push for an automatic promotion spot with Kevin Blackwell the latest recipient of the Manager of the Month accolade.

"This is the first of six cup finals for us and if we win all six, we will see where we end up," adds Jim.

"This time last year going to Sheffield United may have had struck some fear into some people but not this year. We have been competitive away from home and we need to make sure that continues.

"Sheffield United are a strong side, we have to win individual battles and if we do that, then we can win a game of football.

"It's sure to be a hard game for us. They are flying at the moment and they will have the crowd behind them. Their supporters are passionate and vociferous and have every right to be. I enjoyed going there as a player and I enjoy going there as a manager.

"Kevin Blackwell has done a good job there. He deserves a lot of plaudits. He has made changes and his players have responded to them. I thought he did a good job at Leeds and was unlucky to leave there and he'll believe his team can go up this season. We haven't given up on that just yet either ."

David Wright joins Gareth McAuley and Tottenham loanee Giovani on the absent front with injury while the Blades will be missing Billy Sharp, Sun Jihai and possibly Jon-Joe O'Toole, who is struggling with a knee problem.
