Town could move up to 7th place in the Championship, if they can beat Plymouth Argyle at Portman Road tomorrow afternoon. Town will be missing Ivan Campo and Moritz Volz who are both injured. Dan Harding has gone to Reading for the rest of the season. Argentine midfielder Luciano Civelli could make his debut after joining Town, but may be lacking in match fitness.

Town assistant manager John Gorman: "I'm being as positive as I can but I'm not stupid because I know football. When you think you are doing well you have to be ready because it sometimes kicks you in the teeth.

"We go into the game with such a positive frame of mind but we know it won't be easy.

"That is the problem with this league no matter who you play it is not easy.

"We could do with getting an early goal because then they have to come at us.

"We got a boost from the Chelsea game because of the way we played. We took that into the next game and now we want to take that game into Saturday.

"The problem is it is harder at home. Teams come just to stop us playing. We went to Barnsley to win the game straight from kick off.

"Plymouth will come here and make life difficult for us."

Plymouth have added Blackburn youngster Alan Judge to their squad and he could make his debut. David McNamee is available again after suspension. Craig Cathcart is doubt and striker Emile Mpezna is out.

Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock: "We have got a fantastic record there of one win in 20 but records are there to be broken, they are excellent at home and they've got players that can hurt you all over the pitch. We've got to go there and give it everything we have got.

"There was a scenario earlier in the season when we went to Watford and Crystal Palace and this is getting to that stage again. We have got to go and drag a result from one of these two games, or both.

"We are flying up and back to both, which will help, but there is obviously the difficulty of Derby at home on Saturday. Three games in a week is going to make us busy bees.

"Last season (at Portman Road), we had to change system, change personnel, got absolutely battered and came away with a 0-0 draw after missing a penalty in the last minute.

"No manager wants to take a draw - let's take a win."
