Jim: Great Result

Town manager Jim Magilton says the 4-1 win against Crystal Palace earlier flattered Town, but his side did what they had to do. Jim: "It was a nitty-gritty performance. We knew we had to come here and compete.

"We did not win too many away last year and knew we had to rectify that.

"We knew Crystal Palace would be a hard place to come and win and 4-1 probably flattered us but we took our chances and showed great togetherness, and real character and grit.

"We are three wins out of four so the lads need to build on that.

"I have great faith in these lads and we need to pick up more points like that and we can be in the shake up. It is marathon not a sprint.

"We probably had one or two fortunate moments although I'm not sure why their goal stood.

"We dealt with their aerial threat and we won the second balls that they thrive on.

"If I'm over critical I thought we could have played the ball better and we were cheap in possession at times but we had a cutting edge."

It may have been a good result, we still have some work to do this season.
