Town Eyeing Argentinian?

Town are reportedly on the verge of signing 50% of Argentinian midfielder Luciano Civelli from Club Banfield. The 22-year-old midfielder has so far played 68 times for Club Banfield and scored 8 goals since making his debut in 2006.

Banfield's vice-president Carlos Portel is reported to have said: "The offer from the English team is very interesting. We've already analysed it at a board meeting, so the player could maybe be transferred in the next few days."

Civelli was also recently linked to AEK Athens and due to the face he holds an Italian passport he would not need a work permit to play for Town or Plymouth, the other club linked with him.

Am I the only one thinking buying 50% of a player sounds dodgy?
