Chesterfield travel to Portman Road tomorrow afternoon in the 3rd Round of The FA Cup, it will be the first ever meeting between the two sides. Town could be without Kevin Lisbie who has been struggling with a throat infection, Danny Haynes has trained again following an ankle injury but tomorrow might be too soon for him. Owen Garvan and David Wright should both be fit again and Alex Bruce is back from suspension. Darren Ambrose has returned to Charlton.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "Chester made the most of their second chance and gave us two tough games and I'm sure Chesterfield will be looking to do the same," Town boss Jim told the Club website.

"They will relish coming to our place and their players will want to prove they can handle playing against a club from a higher division.

"It's a 'banana skin' tie on what is a fantastic day in the football calendar, FA Cup Third Round day. Up and down the country, stories will be written. We have to make sure one is not written at Portman Road.

"I'm a great fan of the competition. It's still got that magic about it and we want to progress as far as we can in the FA Cup. All the way to Wembley."

Chesterfield will be without Jack Lester who is serving a suspension for a red card he picked up against Droylsden. Alan Goodall is back from suspension, while Robert Page and Dan Gray are doubts.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson: "It's been a real saga, we are glad that we are through it and on with the next round of the cup and we can move on.

"We can now move on to the next round of the FA Cup, get back to league action and forget about it.

"We are massive underdogs, we can go there without any sense of expectation and maybe that is a good thing."

Match odds:
Town: 4/9
Draw: 7/2
Chesterfield: 17/2

We've never played them before so there would'nt be owt for me to look at!!! What I do know about Chesterfield is they can't build straight spires on churches and John Duncan used to be their gaffer twice. That all there is to know, we should beat them 4-0 I reckon or even more!!!
