Town defender Alex Bruce has once again been linked with a move up the A140 to Norwich City in the January transfer window. Bruce, as we all know, is out of contract next summer and free to talk to other clubs next month, one of the clubs reportedly wanting to talk to Bruce is Norwich. How ever, both Jim Magilton and Glenn Roeder have rubbished the rumours.

Magilton: "I have heard nothing at all from Norwich about Alex and like the rest of the players who are out of contract Alex's situation will be reviewed in the New Year."

Roeder: "The last thing Jim Magilton needs is for his players being linked with other clubs and I don't want that either. It's the festive season, shooting season, and there'll be lots of speculation because we'll be coming up to the transfer window. I'm sure between now and January 1 we will be linked with loads of players and people will be saying that our players are leaving too."
