Town defender Alex Bruce is reportedly on his way out of Portman Road after talks between the player and the club have reportedly stalled. Bruce is out of contract in the summer and is free to speak to other clubs when the transfer window opens again in January, with a number of Serie A sides reportedly keen on the 24-year-old defender who joined Town in the summer of 2006.
Town Chief executive Derek Bowden refused to confirm or deny the reports of Bruce not being offered a new deal, simply saying: "Jim Magilton, first team coach Bryan Klug and myself have held initial discussions regarding extending, or not extending, player deals.
"With the January transfer window coming up we will probably wait and see what transpires before having final discussions."
