Town manager Jim Magilton has hinted he would welcome back former Town defender Hermann Hreidarsson, if the 34-year-old has no retirement plans. The Icelandic defender has fallen out of favour at Portsmouth this season, only making a handful of appearances under Harry Redknapp and Tony Adams. His agent has said he will leave Portsmouth in January as he is out of contract at Portsmouth in the summer and Town manager Jim Magilton has hinted he could return to Portman Road.
Jim: "Hermann is a terrific pro and a tremendous character. He was outstanding for us and someone who could help and use his quality around the football club, but first I would need to know he is not thinking of retiring."
