Jim Proud Of Players

Town manager Jim Magilton is proud of his players following the 1-0 win against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road earlier today. Magilton: "We knew we had to burst Blackpool's bubble and we had to control possession which we did.

"We had to get the ball to our front men, which we did and the goal reflected our first half play.

"We knew we had to deal with the nitty-gritty and we did so overall I'm very pleased and proud of the players.

"To come here and get a win and a clean sheet takes some doing so I'm very proud of my players.

"If I'm being over critical we were probably a bit sloppy at times and wasteful in front of goal. We had an opportunity to kill the game but credit where credit is due the lads did very well in a difficult place.

"They are starting to believe in themselves even more and we are progressing very nicely.

"We go to Doncaster next week and we know if we play as we can we can get another three points on our travels which you need to do to get out of this league."
