Town will be taking Plymouth later today, in search of a confidence boosting and point adding win. The home side at Home Park look set to be without defender Mat Doumbe who picked up an injury in mid-week. Striker Emile Mpenza faces a late fitness test after suffering a knee injury.

Plymouth boss, Paul Sturrock: "He brought a squad of players and, like any football club; they need time to gel together. There must be more than half-a-dozen he brought in during the summer and for them to hit the floor running is difficult.

"We have got a dangerous team on our hands with a lot of players who can hurt you and, if we don't approach the game properly, that is exactly what will happen.

"I am just hoping that the rhythm and flow that comes with a team playing together doesn't all click on Saturday."

Town will be without Ben Thatcher and Jaime Peters but otherwise Town have no injury doubts, the only doubt is what formation Jim Magilton will play after using 4-5-1 against Nottingham Forest in midweek and a 4-4-2 against Swansea last weekend.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "I have been pleased with our away performances this season, it was a problem last year and we had to put it right and we have done. We have been competitive from the start of the season. Now we have to take the next step and turn draws into wins.

"We are going to places now believing we can get a result and that wasn't the case last season. Perhaps we need to be braver on the ball now and take a few more risks to get those three points.

"Because of our position, perhaps players are being a bit more cautious and playing the safe pass rather than the risky one but the confidence is coming now.

"The players are comfortable with the system we have been using away from home and it's working. We encourage our players to go out and express themselves and now we have to take that next step.

"It won't be easy at Plymouth. It never is. Any team that comes away with something from Home Park has done well.

"They had a tricky start to the season but they have picked up and confidence has followed. They are a very hard working side. Their crowd is very vocal and in Paul Gallacher and Rory Fallon they have two players who are flying so it will be a big challenge but we are ready for it."
