Town defender Tommy Smith is expected to make a full recovery from his broken ankle after having surgery on Friday. The 18-year-old defender broke his ankle in training on Monday last week and is expected to be out of action for six months but should make a full recovery.
Town physio Matt Byard: "The operation went very well.
"Our specialist, Mark Bowditch, has told us that he expects Tommy to make a full recovery.
"He will be on crutches for six to eight weeks and then we will start his rehab from there. We expect Tommy to be out for about six months."
