Orient travel from their Matchroom Stadium to Portman Road for the first time in 20 years on Tuesday night, aiming to stop Town's progression in this seasons League Cup. I feel will be Jon Walters who Town should welcome back for his first start of the season, last season's Player of the season, was missed badly on Saturday and it just shows how much he means to our squad, we seem to play so much better when he starts.
Last terms leading scorer with 13 goals, he will get more this season.
I expect him to get atleast a couple on Tuesday night.

Leggi predicts: After Saturdays lack lustre performance Jim has made it clear how unimpressed he was, A few changes will be made for Tuesday and I hope we can Kick-off our season against an average Orient side. I predict a 4-0 win for Town.

The key here is our dodgy finishing. It's patently obvious that if we don't put away the chances early doors, we tend to wilt as far as confidence goes and are then often worried out of it. If the chances are despatched early on we'll career away with this. Sloppy finishing and watch out!

Midfielder David Norris is back in the Town squad for tonight’s Carling Cup tie with Leyton Orient at Portman Road. Norris missed the end of last season due to a heel problem which required surgery and then picked up another knock in the friendly at Brentford.

That injury, also relating to a heel, was not connected to the initial problem and the former Plymouth man returned to training last week.

Manager Jim Magilton has indicated that he intends to make changes for tonight’s game with Norris likely to get a run in midfield probably from the bench along with Jon Walters.

Richard Naylor and Alex Bruce are in line for inclusion at the back after missing out on Saturday, while Alan Lee may get a recall up front. Youngsters such as Liam Trotter and Jordan Rhodes may also be given time on the pitch.

New signing Iván Campo is not yet match fit and is unlikely to play for at least a week or so.

Town fans will be looking for an improvement in the Blues' Carling Cup form after a defeat on penalties to the MK Dons last season followed on from losses in previous years to Peterborough, Notts County, Doncaster Rovers and Yeovil Town.

Magilton agrees that the Blues’ recent record in the Carling Cup is not good enough: “My history in the League Cup is not one to shout from the rooftops about. After that poor start on Saturday it is important to get a win and give the lads a little confidence.

“Leyton Orient will get our full respect and we will go about our business with the full intent of winning. I know their manager Martin Ling from when he played at Swindon under Glenn Hoddle and they will want to play good football.

“They will come here and enjoy this place but we have to show our intent from the start. The lads that start need to show their intent in how much they want to be part of this team.”

Leyton Orient will be without on-loan Spurs striker Simon Dawkins who has an ankle injury, but otherwise O’s manager Martin Ling has a full squad from which to pick his side.

Orient beat Hereford 2-1 at home in their opening fixture of the season on Saturday with winger JJ Melligan and striker Adam Boyd, a team-mate of Tommy Miller’s at Hartlepool, on the scoresheet.

Manager Ling, whose side beat QPR 2-1 at the same stage of the competition last year, is looking forward to the game: "It's a good one for us. They're the type of team that like to play football. I suppose it's a non-pressure game, but cup runs can be important for money reasons as we all know.

"If we play as well as we did in the first half [against Hereford] or as well as we did against QPR, I think we can cause an upset."

Both sides will have seven substitutes on the bench with Carling Cup rules running in line with this season’s new Premier League initiative meaning that clubs can used three subs from a choice of seven.

Town last played Leyton Orient in a League Cup third round tie at Portman Road in November 1988 when the Blues won 2-0 via goals from Micky Stockwell and Jason Dozzell.
