Three players Town were keen on signing could all be playing their football elsewhere next season thanks to offers from other clubs. Crewe Alexander striker Nicky Maynard has been linked with Town throughout the summer but that rumour will now go away as he has joined Town's championship rivals Bristol City.

Southampton midfielder Rudi Skacel also won't be coming to Portman Road as Town manager Jim Magilton has revealed the deal is "absolutely dead."

Former Charlton defender Ben Thatcher has been offered a one year contract with Town but is currently on trial at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
