The company behind the £350million SnOasis project have held talks with Town about possibly becoming the clubs sponsor for the next two years. The company behind the winter sports centre possibly being built at Great Blakenham can't make a formal decision on if they sponsor Town or not until they know if the project will be given the green light by Secretary of State Hazel Blears who will announce her decision on the 7th March.

Onslow Suffolk managing director Godfrey Spanner: "I have met with Ipswich Town and have had discussions.

"We are not planning too far ahead but it is a nice thought and could happen."

A spokesperson for Town added: "We can confirm that we have spoken to a number of organisations who have indicated an interest in sponsoring the club once the current arrangement with E.ON expires in the summer. No decisions have been taken at this time and we will be making no further comment until later in the year."

AXA have reportedly turned down the chance to become the clubs main sponsor and Marcus Evans' Linguarama company is still being linked with the shirt sponsorship.

Barca could cope without a sponsor for nearly 100 years, we should manage it too lol

Never heard of em but I like the Idea of No Sponsor Just for the season, Would look quality on the "Retro" home shirts.

SnOasis are buliding (or hoping to) a huge winter sports centre on the edge of Ipswich, indoor realsnow ski slope lake, cabins etcs
