Town's finance Director Anna Hughes has resigned from her roll at the club following the acquisition of the club by Marcus Evans. Confirming the news, Town's Chief Executive Derek Bowden said: "Sadly, Anna has decided to resign from her position at the Football Club and reluctantly her resignation has been accepted.

"She has done a fantastic job here, seeing us through some very difficult times, but following the acquisition of the Club by the Marcus Evans Group she believes that her job has now been substantially completed and therefore it's time to move on to a fresh challenge.

"Anna will be leaving Portman Road later this month and everyone at the Club wishes her well."

Ms Hughes added: "I've had a marvellous time here and have worked with some great people who all have the best interests of the Club at heart. I will miss them.

"Those people have maintained a high standard of performance, integrity and customer service - qualities that I feel are vital to any successful business."
