Town have the chance to go back into the play-off places tonight, if they can take all three points away from FA Cup giant killers Barnsley. The homeside are without Anderson de Silva, Heinz Muller and Paul Reid all with knee injuries. Dennis Souza, Martin Devaney and Marciano Van Homoet all doubts for the game after picking up injuries against Chelsea at the weekend.

Barnsley boss Simon Davey: "We have to make sure that we are right at it tomorrow night and we need the points. We are right back down to earth and we need to pick up some wins to make sure we are still in this division next season.

"The players will be physically and mentally fatigued following the Chelsea game so I will have to take a good look at them and decide what to do. We will have to assess them and have a close look.

"We need to start picking up points and we need to be higher up the table.

"Marciano Van Homoet is struggling with an ankle problem; Martin Devaney has a broken nose and Dennis Souza has a tight hamstring. We will have to see how they are".

Town's only doubt for the game tonight is Sito Castro who picked up an ankle injury while playing for the reserves last week.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "Barnsley are on a massive crest and we have to bring them down with a bump. They still have a lot to play for and points are very important to them as they are to us.

"It is no mean feat to beat Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup and they can use that. Ipswich Town at home on a Tuesday night is not going to intimidate that. What we have to do is start brightly, take the game to them and take advantage that they have had a big game and will still be on a high.

"The draw will have distracted them and the possibility of playing in a cup final.

"We have to use all that and produce a performance.

"Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace were particular highs for us."

Match odds:
Town: 8/5
Draw: 23/10
Barnsley: 7/4
