Town striker Alan Lee says he would welcome David Nugent to Portman Road on-loan as he would boost Town's chances of reaching the premiership. Town manager Jim Magilton has made an enquiry to Portsmouth about the striker and Portsmouth Harry Redknapp has left it in Nugent's hands to decide if he wants to join Town on-loan or not, current Town striker Alan Lee would welcome the one time England striker to Portman Road.
Lee: "We must be pleased to have anyone new who can bring something to the table. We have one goal at this club. One goal that we are all aiming for. And that is to reach the Premier League.
"There is always competition if you are a football player, and I will welcome David with open arms.
"He is an England player and a class performer."
