Town have signed goalkeeper Nick Colgan until the end of the season to replace Shane Supple who has been loaned to Falkirk until the end of the season. The 34-year-old ‘keeper is a free agent after settling his contract with Barnsley, he has been capped 9 time by the Republic of Ireland. He started his English career at Chelsea before going on to have spells at Bournemouth, Hibs and Barnsley, as well as loan spells at Grimsby, Millwall, Brentford, Reading and Stockport.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "Nick Colgan is a vastly experienced 'keeper who will provide strong competition for Stephen Bywater here over the rest of the season, I expect him to push Stephen all the way for his place and I'm delighted to have him on board.
"He is an international 'keeper who has been involved with the Republic of Ireland recently and will be another good voice to have around the place."
Meanwhile Shane Supple and Billy Clarke have been loaned to Falkirk for the remainder of the season and Jaime Peters has gone to Yeovil.
