Town target David Norris has had a transfer request rejected by the board at Plymouth Argyle. Norris, a target of Town and a number of other Championship clubs since the summer handed in a transfer request at Home Park yesterday and he was informed after a meeting between Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock and the Plymouth board that the request had been rejected.
Plymouth issued the following statement: "Argyle confirm they have received a written request for a transfer from midfielder David Norris.
"After due consideration, the request has been refused by the club."
The request by Norris to leave the club could force Argyle to lower their £2 million valuation of the player who is currently contracted until the summer of 2009.
