Town midfielder George O'Callaghan looks likely to return to Cork City after being told he is free to leave Portman Road.
George joined Town from Cork for a nominal fee a year ago, after possibly the longest trial spell in history. But he has failed to hold down a regular starting place in the Town and has made just 12 appearances for Jim Magilton who has now given him a free transfer, with his former employers looking likely to re-sign him.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "George is a great lad but he's 28 now and needs to be playing regular first-team football, we have not been able to give him that here and we won't stand in his way of moving on now."
