Town midfielder Liam Trotter wants to play regularly for Town after only making three appearances spread across three seasons. Trotter gave Town the lead during the A12 derby with Colchester on Tuesday night just 4 minutes after coming on as a substitute for his 3rd Town appearance and now he is hoping for more appearances.

Liam: "It was a fantastic way to celebrate my home debut, scoring that goal, I hoped I would get my chance to come on but I didn't think for one minute that I would score and hardly had time to celebrate before I was 'taken out' by Jason De Vos.

"It has been frustrating for me over the last year or so. I have I improved my game in some areas but not in others and I know I have to get the whole package right.

"The manager has given me the chance now to show what I can do and it's up to me to push on from here and show him I'm worth a place in the squad.

"It's going to be hard because there are some very good players at this Club but I feel I have some qualities that I can bring to the team."
