Spanish defender Cesar Navas will not be coming to Portman Road after failing to agree personal terms with the club. The 27-year-old is one of Malaga's biggest earners and Town's offer of wages were clearly below what Navas wanted so he will be staying in Spain.
Town's chief executive Derek Bowden: "We're naturally very disappointed, having agreed terms with Malaga, that Navas will not be joining us, last Friday we seemed close to agreeing personal terms with the player but since that time he has decided to reject our final offer so that is the end of the matter."
