This is the first meeting between the MK Dons and Ipswich, since 'The Dons' were only founded in 2004, nine months after Wimbledon FC was moved to Milton Keynes.
Somewhat controversially the FA considers the MK Dons to be a continuation of Wimbledon FC.
Last season they finished 4th in league 2, but failed in the play-offs, now managed by former England Player Paul Ince they will be looking to go one step further this campaign.

Tuesday's game will be only the second competitive game at their new impressive 22,000 stadium MK.

There has been two previous cup meetings before between the two clubs, both coming Full Members Cup, with Town winning on both occasions.

Only 2 players have represented town and 'The Dons' they are Drissa Diallo and Steve Palmer.

The Dons player to fear would have been Izale McLeod, the 22 year old striker who had notched up an impressive 54 goals in 116 appearances for the Dons before his move to Charlton earlier in the week. The new player to fear would be Leon Knight, the former Chelsea trainee may have only scored one goal since joining The Dons in January but over his career he has scored about 1 goal in every three games.
