Simunek The Target?

Jan Simunek is reportedly the defender Town coach Bryan Klug and chief scout Steve McCall went to watch in Prague this week. The 20-year-old defender picked up a silver medal in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Canada last month. Simunek made only his fifth Sparta Prague appearance on Monday in their season opener against Slovan Liberec.

Town manager Jim Magilton is looking for a new defender as cover for Richard Naylor who is facing three months out with a toe injury, but he is not naming names.

Magilton: "They went on Monday to look at a guy and are back now. It is something we may follow up. We are trying to bring in someone on loan."
